Rafale and Nick, the puppy we imported in June, are entered in their first AKC shows. Rafale never makes it to the shows, instead she takes a trip to Florida to be bred. Nick does get to go to his first show and is awarded Winners Dog his first weekend out.

After living on the property in our RV since April 15 while the new modular cape cod house was being set up, we have finally made settlement. George is busy putting up the vinyl fencing around the house and Betty is busy trying to figure out which drawer to put the silverware in, which cabinet gets the everyday glasses, where to store the linens, which picture goes on what wall........... |

Both George and Betty were able to get away to visit France together this year. First stop was a visit to the home of Jean Yves Chatalais where we had our first look at the 8 week old pups that would be coming home with us and Rafale, the beautiful young bitch that would accompany us back to the states to be bred. From there we met up with Ron Newman, Mary Meritz, Barbara Walkirch and newly weds Dave and Megan Esherick. We spent the day doing the tourist routine then traveled to Bourges for a weekend at the French Nationals. George spent the day working along side Jean Yves who brought 6 dogs to the show. George had the opportunity to handle some of the dogs including Rafale who received an Excellent ranking.

We were able to remain in our PA home through the winter but now its time to move to Delaware. The dogs are all set, new kennel runs have been erected, the big play areas are mended and secured. We have added their favorite toys to the runs, Little Tyke Play Gyms. What fun it is to watch them run and play on the gyms. The dogs are happy. George and Betty are not, heavy rains in November and December and the unprecedented 22 inches of snow have stalled the work on the new home foundation. We are living in the RV. |

We sold our home in Bensalem PA and purchased an 18 acre farm in New Castle Delaware. There is a sturdy two story farm building with a 2nd story deck which has a magnificent view of the marshes surrounding our high grounds, this structure will be used as the main kennel building. The previous owners raised Ostrich & Emu. These big birds were kept in 20' wide by 100' long runs with running water, electric and a lean-to for cover. These will be our play areas.
